About Lemala Health
Personalised, caring perimenopause and menopause support
Our mission is to help women feel well and thrive through every stage of perimenopause and menopause by providing expert, compassionate care that blends evidence-based medicine with practical lifestyle support.
Why we created Lemala Health
We founded Lemala Health, to create the kind of clinic where women feel heard, supported and cared for during their perimenopausal and menopausal journey.
Over many years in clinical practice we saw how often women struggled to get the support they needed. Many told us they felt rushed, dismissed, or unsure where to turn next.
We wanted to create a different kind of clinic. One where women feel listened to, supported, and given clear, evidence-based guidance.
The kind of clinic we would want for ourselves, our friends and our families.
A bit about us:
Dr Mari Walling
Supporting women through perimenopause and menopause was a central part of my work as a GP. I particularly value being able to take the time to listen carefully, understand the full picture of someone’s health and life, and help them find a treatment approach that feels right for them.
I worked for several years in a private specialist menopause clinic, gaining huge amounts of expertise supporting women with complex hormonal needs.
My interest in menopause medicine is also personal. Having seen the impact of premature menopause within my own family, and experiencing early perimenopause myself, I understand how disruptive hormonal change can be and how important timely, knowledgeable support is.
This experience strengthened my determination to help women access clear advice, thoughtful care, and effective treatment so they can regain their wellbeing and confidence during midlife.
Alongside hormone treatment, I have a strong interest in lifestyle medicine and the many other factors that influence how women feel during this stage of life, including sleep, stress, movement, and nutrition.
Outside work, I live in the New Forest with my husband, three teenage children, and collection of animals. I love walking daily whatever the weather, along with yoga and bootcamp sessions with friends.
Qualifications and professional background

Dr Emma Ginns
I am passionate about helping women feel heard, understand what is happening to their bodies, and access thoughtful, evidence-based care that supports both symptom relief and long-term health.
Supporting women through perimenopause and menopause has been a longstanding part of my work as a GP. Over many years in clinical practice, I have seen how often women’s symptoms during this stage of life are misunderstood and how difficult it can be to find clear, balanced advice.
Alongside my menopause work, I continue to work in an NHS breast clinic. This experience has given me particular insight into breast health, breast cancer risk, and the complex questions many women have about hormones and menopause treatment.
Lifestyle medicine is also a key part of my approach. I am interested in the many factors that influence women’s health and wellbeing in midlife, including movement, sleep, nutrition, and stress, and how these can work alongside medical treatment to help women feel their best.
Outside work I live with my family in the New Forest National Park. I enjoy walking, strength training, gardening and am often found on the side of a rugby pitch.
