Meet your Menopause Specialists

Lemala Health was founded by Dr Mari Walling and Dr Emma Ginns, experienced NHS GPs, British Menopause Society Registered Specialists, and advocates of menopause and lifestyle medicine.

Alongside many years working in NHS general practice, we both worked within a large private specialist menopause clinic, supporting women with a wide range of hormonal and midlife health concerns, including complex menopause care.

Over many years in clinical practice, we saw how often women struggling with perimenopause and menopause felt rushed, dismissed, or unsure where to turn next.

We created Lemala Health to offer the kind of clinic we would want for ourselves, our friends and families.

Based in the New Forest, we understand how demanding this stage of life can feel whilst balancing work, family life, ageing parents, teenagers, and everyday pressures. Our aim is to help women feel informed, supported, and confident in their treatment choices.

Dr Mari Walling

Mari has a particular interest in supporting women experiencing early or premature menopause, as well as women coming to menopause care later who may have struggled for years without the right support or felt they had missed the opportunity for treatment.

Her approach combines evidence-based medical care with practical lifestyle strategies to support both symptom relief and long-term health. She values taking the time to listen carefully, understand the wider picture of a woman’s health and life, and help find a treatment approach that feels realistic, supportive, and personalised.

Dr Emma Ginns

Emma has extensive experience supporting women through perimenopause and menopause, with a particular interest in helping women feel informed, reassured, and confident about their treatment choices.

Alongside her menopause work, she continues to work within an NHS breast clinic, giving her additional expertise in breast health, breast cancer risk, and hormone treatment decisions.

Emma combines evidence-based medical care with a thoughtful and supportive approach, taking time to explain options clearly and help women better understand what is happening to their bodies during this stage of life.

  • I had been really struggling with symptoms, despite the HRT I was using. Dr Emma Ginns advised some changes to my HRT, having seen the results of a recent blood test. Thankfully, I am feeling so much better following the changes we made!
